Ishtar (1983) is a powerful example of Basquiat's raw and expressive visual language, combining energetic marks, vivid colour, symbolic imagery, and layers of cultural references. Basquiat became one of the most influential figures in contemporary art, creating works that continue to resonate for their intensity, spontaneity, and cultural commentary.
